Jollof Rice (Pack of 15)
COOKING INSTRUCTIONS
Microwave- Empty all the spice mix into a microwaveable container. Add 3 tablespoons of oil or 15g margarine and 4.5cups/1 litre of boiling water.
- Add all the rice to the mixture and stir.
- Cover immediately and microwave for 20 minutes or until rice is tender.
- Remove from the microwave, fluff with a fork and serve.
Stove top/Oven
- Empty all the spice mix into a saucepan. Add 3 tablespoons oil or 15g margarine and 4.5 cups/1 litre of water. Bring mixture to a boil on a stovetop.
- Add all the rice to the boiling mixture and stir.
- Cover saucepan tightly and simmer on the lowest heat for 30 to 35 minutes or until rice is tender. Alternatively bake in covered all metal pan in an oven at 400 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes
- Remove from the heat, mix, and serve.
SERVING SUGGESTIONS
Jollof rice is a very versatile dish and can be eaten alone or served with salads, vegetables or boiled, fried/baked/stewed protein of your choice.
